Year 2005

The year 2005 was a verry special year for us on Ejdern. Our beloved ship had her 125th birthday. We celebrated this with a long journey to Ejderns birth city Gothenburg. We got there via the Göta and the Trollhätte canal.
Disregarded the month we were on the Gothenburg trip and the traffic were run by an other ship the timetable was basically the usual with trips to Birka-Adelsö and Drottningholm-Stockholm.

Seasonal winter work 2004 - 2005

During the winter we in the first place have worked in two areas onboard. Partly follow-up works after the replacing of the upper-deck were we have smartened up the lower part of the steering house and seal it to the deck and also to put a brass strip in the forward edge of the deck. The other area for the winter work was to overhaul the boiler. Among others we have mounted new mud-holes, (holes to allow the boiler to be inspected and cleaned)

The first journey, May 7th

The first regular journey of the season was as usual a trip to Birka and further to Adelsö. We had quite few passengers but the braves who attended got themselves a nice journey with choppy weather. Here are some pictures taken from the land when the trip started.

Ejderns anniversary trip to Gothenburg

Since Ejdern celebrated her 125th anniversary year 2005 she made a journey to Gothenburg at the end of June and the beginning of July. The journey went through Göta and the Trollhätte canal. .
