Those were the times!

Ejdern was well received when she arrived to the lake Roxen in 1898. The local paper Östgötakorrespondenten wrote May 4th: (In the blue square)
The steamer Ejdern, that will maintain the connection between the shores of Roxen and the town of Linköping, arrived yesterday from Gothenburg. The new steamer made a pleasant impression and will certainly during the summer be well applied for both for trips to the town from the countryside and Sundays from the town for pleasure trips to the shores of Roxen. The steamer, about the same size as the steamer Brokind, takes 174 passengers and provides a spacious parlour under quarter deck. Even for deck passengers there is roof. An early bird you had to be if you were to go with Ejdern. According to the time table she left already 4.30 in the morning from Grensholmen to reach Linköping at 7.00.
