The Engine is a two cylinder compound steam engine on 15 nominally horse powers (65 ihp) with Stephenson's valve gear for reversing. Cylinder diameters 216 mm (8,5 in) and 432 mm (17 in) respectiverly, stroke 222 mm (8,75 in). Lubrication system is a lubrication device of Otto Montgomery's patent with drop-feed lubrication in 16 tubes. The maneuver place is on the portside. All controls are well assembled. The steam valve with direct-steam in the same lever and the water valve for the jet spray condenser are maneuvered with the left hand, and the reverse gear lever, positioned between the connecting rods of the low-pressure cylinder and the slide valve, is maneuvered with the right hand.
